Fears

Ask a partner about things they are afraid of and scary experiences they have had

20 minutes

Talking about fears is a good way for students to compare themselves to each other as fears are often very different and each person experiences fears in very different ways. These types of questions stimulate speakers to ask why their partner is afraid of something and for the other to explain their unique experiences. It can also be good for speaking of the past as students will need to relate specific experiences that have happened to them related to their fears and scary situations.
