How Much Time / Money

Have students ask partners about how much time they spend doing something and how much money they spend on something

20 minutes

These are great starter questions that teachers can use to have their students build follow-up questions to elicit more information from the student’s partners. Expressing that time or money spent is a lot or a little it also a useful add-on to these questions.

Usually there will be one or two responses that are very noteworthy and that the students can later use to offer unique information to the entire class about what they learned. This can stimulate full class discussion and vocabulary building.
